Plot
"Star Trek: The Lower Decks" focuses on the support crew serving on the USS Cerritos, one of Starfleet’s most neglected ships, in the year 2380. Mariner, Boehmler, Rutherford and Tandy must continue with their duties and social lives, often while the ship is rocked by a series of science fiction anomalies. The ship’s bridge crew consists of Captain Carol Freeman, Commander Jack Ransom, Lieutenant Shax and Dr. T and Anna. It is the second animated installment in the franchise, following the 1973-1974 Star Trek: The Animated Series; but has a decidedly more grown-up tone and humor.
