It’s an interesting take on the underground bunker story of people who survived underground long enough to spawn a civilization within, with history, myths, beliefs, rituals and ceremonies rooted in forgotten events. a status quo social structure has been established. And when the status quo that maintains order is the police, enforcement and punishment follow. A power structure is formed that creates a stratified population both figuratively and literally siloed from top to bottom. This is the premise, and while it’s not entirely original (think Snowpiercer, Dark City, etc.), there’s enough novelty here that it looks well-executed as a TV series. Oyelowo’s acting, familiar faces in n Rashida Jones and Will Patton. . (But as you can tell from the show’s poster, they’re guest stars giving way to the regular cast, starring Rebecca Ferguson.) The show looks to be pretty decent, with good production values. There are elaborate sets and good CGI to create a believable atmosphere. While a suspicious mind picks up on some obvious conspiracies early on, mysteries are revealed that keep me watching.
